How to Customize the Targeting and Behavior Settings of a Pop-Up Form

Welcome back! In this tutorial, we will learn how to customize the targeting and behavior page of a pop-up form.

Step 1: Access Your Forms Management Page

  • Create a new pop-up or edit a previously created pop-up.

Step 2: Define Whom to Show the Pop-Up

  • Everyone: Displays the pop-up to every visitor on your website for maximum visibility.
  • Anonymous Visitors: Shows the pop-up only to visitors who haven't identified themselves yet, ideal for capturing new leads.
  • Identified Visitors: Targets returning visitors who are already known to your system.
  • Contacts with Tags: Displays the pop-up to contacts with specific tags, such as VIP customers or trial users.

Step 3: Decide Whom to Hide the Pop-Up

  • No One: Ensures the pop-up remains visible to all eligible visitors.
  • Contacts with Tags: Excludes specific groups, like users tagged as already subscribed or do not disturb.

Step 4: Determine Which Pages to Show the Pop-Up On

  • On All Pages: The pop-up will appear site-wide.
  • Define Website URL: Targets specific pages or paths for a more strategic approach.

Step 5: Choose Which Pages to Hide the Pop-Up

  • Select the pages where you don't want to show the pop-up.
  • Option to never hide the pop-up.

Step 6: Optimize for Different Devices

  • Hide on mobile devices or hide on desktop.

Step 7: Configure the Behavior Page

  • While Entering the Website: Display the pop-up immediately as a visitor lands on your website.
  • Exits Website: Trigger the pop-up when a visitor is about to leave your site.
  • On Percentage Page Scroll: Show the pop-up when a visitor scrolls a specified percentage of the page.
  • Set a Certain Amount of Delay: The pop-up will appear after a visitor spends a certain number of seconds on your site.

Step 8: Advanced Settings

  • Define how often to show the pop-up to ensure it feels natural and not repetitive.
  • Options include showing on every page view, once per browser session, or after a set delay.
  • Control when to stop showing the pop-up to avoid oversaturation.
