How to Associate Multiple Tags to Contacts While Importing

In this video, we will learn how to associate multiple tags to contacts during the import process. This is particularly useful when you want to import contacts into a signup list and have the signup information stored in a spreadsheet.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Prepare Your Spreadsheet:

Ensure that all the tags for each contact are listed in the tags column and are separated by the pipe operator (|). This allows the system to recognize them as multiple tags. For example:

    • Contact 1: goal tag | classic tag | signup tag
    • Contact 2: priority tag
    • Contact 3: standard tag | follow-up tag
  2. Download and Import the List:

Download your spreadsheet in CSV format. Once downloaded, navigate to your contact list and click on the import option. Drag and drop your CSV file into the import area.

  3. Map the Fields:

The fields should automatically map to the appropriate columns. If they do not, manually map them to the correct fields. Ensure that the tags column is mapped correctly so that tags are created for the contacts.

  4. Complete the Import:

After mapping, click on the complete button to proceed with the import. This will add the contacts to your list.

  5. Verify Tags:

Check to ensure that the appropriate tags have been associated with each contact. For instance:

    • Contact 1 should have the goal, classic, and signup tags.
    • Contact 2 should have the priority tag.
    • Contact 3 should have the standard and follow-up tags.

That's it for this video. Thank you for watching!
