How to Update and Personalize Email Subject Lines and Content Using Custom Field Values

Step-by-Step Guide
- Create a Campaign: Start by creating a new campaign and entering the campaign name.
- Personalize the Subject Line:
- Replace the text in the subject field with a personalization tag for English language users.
- Ensure the personalization tag is correctly formatted for English language users.
- Users with the language custom field set to English will see the English subject line, while others will see a Spanish subject line.
- Design the Email:
- Click the "Next Design" button at the bottom right of the form.
- In the design section, select "Events" from the drop-down menu and click on "Select Template."
- Add Dynamic Content:
- Select "Add Condition" in the dynamic content section on the right panel.
- In the modal, insert the start of the conditional statement in the "Before" field to show the email body only to contacts with language custom fields set as English.
- Insert the end of the conditional statement in the "After" field and click the "Add" button to save the condition.
- Create Spanish Email Content:
- Duplicate the row in the newsletter editor to create a copy of the email content in Spanish.
- Edit the display condition in the dynamic content section to show to Spanish users.
- Modify the condition to "if eq_language Spanish" and click save.
- Preview and Test:
- In the navigation bar, click the icon to display the Spanish description.
- Click on "Send Test Email" and "Show Preview."
- In preview mode, select the drop-down to choose row display conditions for both English and Spanish users.
- Cross-verify that the email appears correctly for both language settings.
- Send Test Email:
- Enter the email address of a contact to receive the test email.
- Toggle the checkbox to use custom fields of a specific contact and choose contacts with language fields set as English and then Spanish.
- Confirm that the email with the proper subject line and content appears for both language settings.
