Setting Up DNS Records in Cloudflare for SendX

In this guide, you will learn how to add four DNS records in Cloudflare to authenticate your sending domain in SendX.

Steps to Add DNS Records

  1. Access SendX Settings:

    • Click your profile icon in the top right corner of SendX.

    • Select Settings from the drop-down menu.

    • Click Setup in the left sidebar.

    • Type your domain name in the input field and click Add Sending Domain.

    • Click on your domain in the list to expand its DNS records.

    • From the View as drop-down, select Cloudflare to see Cloudflare-specific instructions.

  2. Add DKIM Record:

    • In Cloudflare, click Add Record in the DNS management section.

    • In SendX, click the copy icon next to the DKIM record to copy its content.

    • Select TXT from the type drop-down.

    • Paste the DKIM record name into the name field.

    • Go back to SendX and copy the DKIM record value.

    • Paste the DKIM value into the content field in Cloudflare.

    • Click Save to save the DKIM record.

  3. Add Return Path Record:

    • Click Add Record again.

    • In SendX, click the copy icon next to the return path spbounce record name.

    • Select Name from the type drop-down.

    • Paste the return path record name into the name field.

    • Copy the target value from SendX.

    • Paste the copied content into the target field in the DNS management form.

    • Set the proxy status to DNS only by clicking the orange cloud icon so it turns gray.

    • Click Save.

  4. Add Track Record:

    • Click Add Record again.

    • In SendX, click the copy icon next to the track sp track record name.

    • Select Name from the type drop-down.

    • Paste the name.

    • Click the copy icon next to track.sx30.email in the form and enter the target value.

    • Set the proxy status to DNS only again. Name records must not be proxied.

    • Click Save.

  5. Add DMARC Record:

    • Click Add Record one more time.

    • Select TXT from the type drop-down.

    • In SendX, copy the DMARC record name and paste it into the name field.

    • Copy the DMARC value from SendX and paste it into the content field.

    • Click Save.

  6. Verify Records:

    • Back in SendX, click the refresh icon to verify your records.

    • Green badges mean the records are confirmed.

All four records are now set up. Your domain is authenticated for sending through SendX.
