The List Hygiene add-on checks your contacts and assigns validation flags, making it easy to spot and manage risky email addresses. In this guide, we'll walk you through the settings and show you how to explore and manage the Threat Checks add-ons.
Click on the profile icon in the navigation bar.
Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
In the navigation bar, click on Add-ons.
Select Threat Checks from the list of enabled add-ons.
In the Threat Checks section, click on Settings.
Choose to automate checks by enabling automatic email validation when importing contacts.
Ensure the checkbox for Validate new contacts automatically is selected.
Alternatively, choose to skip this and clean an existing list, tag, or segment whenever needed.
In the navigation bar, click on Analytics under the Threat Checks section.
Click the Validate Now button in the All-time contact overview section.
In the modal, note that only contacts without validation will be processed.
Click the Cancel button in the form to stop the validation process.
Select Audience from the navigation bar to view audience-related options.
Select Lists.
In the Lists section, click on the list icon.
Click on the three-dot menu in the Lists section.
In the list options, click on List Hygiene.
Note that the number of invalidated contacts will be displayed.
Click Continue to validate the contacts.
Click on the bell icon in the navigation bar for more details.
In the Notification Center, observe the WebEULA validation completion.
Close the Notification Center by clicking the X icon.
Click on the Profile icon in the navigation bar.
Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
In the Settings menu, click on Add-ons from the sidebar.
In the Add-ons section, click on the Add-ons icon.
Locate and select Threat Checks to view its details.
Select Analytics to access the Analytics page.
Clean – Contacts that have passed all validation checks and are safe to send to.
Reputation – Contacts that may harm your sender's reputation if emailed.
Fraud – Contacts identified as fraudulent or associated with fraud-related activity.
Delivery – Contacts with delivery issues that may cause bounces or delivery problems.
Conversion – Contacts that may have conversion-related concerns or issues.
Beta – Contacts flagged during beta testing phases.
That's it! Once you've set this up, your list is successfully protected from any suspicious activity. By maintaining a clean list, you safeguard your domain reputation and set yourself up for better deliverability and a healthier email marketing journey ahead.
