Creating Shopify Segments for Enhanced Email Marketing
In this video, we explore how to create Shopify-related segments to boost your email marketing efforts. After integrating your Shopify store, you'll automatically find four pre-created segments, each corresponding to an essential use case within the Shopify ecosystem. Let's dive into creating a new Shopify segment.
Step-by-Step Guide to Creating a Shopify Segment
- Click on the Create Segment button.
- Type in the desired segment name in the Name field of the form.
- Click on the Plus New Group button to add a new condition group.
- Click on the Plus Add Condition button to add a new condition to the group.
- Click on the Choose an Entity drop-down menu in the form and select Shopify.
- Click on the Choose an Action drop-down menu in the form.
- Explore various conditions associated with different segments of Shopify customers.
- Examine the Order Purchase from Smart Collection feature to choose collections from your Shopify store and segment users accordingly.
- Select one or more smart collections from the list of available options.
- To save the condition, click on the Save button and then click on Update Contact to preview the contacts.
- Click on the Create Segment button in the top-right corner of the modal.
Now, you have a segment consisting solely of contacts who have purchased products from specific collections. This data is valuable for targeting marketing efforts for similar products.
Creating Another Segment
- Go to the Audience tab, then back to Create Segment.
- Add a new condition by selecting Shopify, then clicking Choose an Action.
- Focus on the condition of Product Purchases to target customers who have bought one or more items.
- Select one or more products from the drop-down list of products in your Shopify marketplace.
- Save the condition and proceed to update the contacts.
- If no one has purchased the selected products, edit the condition and explore other options for Shopify.
- Consider additional conditions, such as the Last Order Placed condition, to identify customers who have recently made purchases.
- This condition requires input on the number of days since any last purchase was made.
