How to Create and Schedule an RSS Email Campaign

In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to create and schedule an RSS email campaign.

Step 1: Accessing the RSS Campaign Setup

  1. Click on the Campaigns drop-down menu in the navigation bar.
  2. Select RSS from the drop-down options.
  3. Click on the Create RSS button to configure your RSS campaign.

Step 2: Configuring Your RSS Campaign

  1. Enter the RSS campaign name in the provided field on the form.
  2. Enter the feed URL, ensuring it is in the correct format with https:// added to it.
  3. Enter the desired email subject in the Subject field. Use the RSS title custom field with a fallback option if needed.
  4. Select or create a sender info from the Who is this from field drop-down.
  5. Click on the Next, Content button to proceed to the next step.

Step 3: Designing Your Email Content

  1. A basic RSS template is already set up. Select the row and go to the Dynamic Content section to see the row iterated on all RSS posts.
  2. Drag and drop any block from the Content Selection panel to the email template above the iterative posts row for constant content.
  3. Add necessary header content for your RSS campaign.
  4. Update the iterative row with the necessary post structure.
  5. Add footer or static campaign content below the iterative row.
  6. Click the Feed Tags button in the navigation bar to open the Feed Tags info and review the available dynamic tags.
  7. Click on the Show Preview button to view the email preview and make necessary changes.
  8. Click on the Save and Continue button to save your progress.

Step 4: Selecting Recipients and Scheduling

  1. Select the desired recipients targeting for this RSS campaign from the drop-down menu.
  2. Click the Next, Schedule button to proceed to the scheduling options.
  3. Select the frequency of sending: Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.
  4. Choose the needed time zone for the RSS campaign.
  5. Set the preferred time and day of the week the RSS campaign should go out to the recipients.
  6. Check the Box4TrackCampaignClick report on Google Analytics to enable tracking for the campaign.
  7. Click the Send button to schedule the campaign.

Step 5: Activating the Campaign

  1. Toggle the active switch for the Wired Feed RSS campaign to update its status and start sending out the campaign with your RSS feed.
  2. Monitor the Execution Count section, which updates whenever an attempt is made to send out this RSS campaign.
